From Athens International Airport by car

Patras is connected to Athens by the National Road “Olympia Odos”. The new highway is now part of a modern motorway network connecting the major Greek cities. Motorists enjoy shorter and safer journeys.

By bus

The central bus station (KTEL Achaias) is located in the city centre (Othonos Amalias & Zaimi Str). KTEL Achaias connects Patras with many Greek cities like Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Lamia, Larisa, Kalamata and Pyrgos.

There are many bus routes from Patras to Athens and vice versa per day. The average route frequency is one bus every half an hour and the trip lasts about two and lalf hours. Buses from Athens depart from “Kifisos” Athens Central Bus Station.

By train

The Greek rail company does not offer at the moment a direct train service. However there are frequent routes between Patras and Athens, Piraeus port and Athens International Airport which combine train and bus.

By ship

The Port of Patras, dominating the Western Port System of the country, is the main Western Gate of the country. As regards passengers and commerce, it serves Southern and Central Greece.

The port of Patras is connected with regular service to the ports of Brindisi, Ancona, Venezia, Bari, Genova, Ravenna, Trieste, Catania.

It also serves domestic routes to Kefalonia and Ithaki.
